This article explores the role and significance of the Latin language in the formation and development of modern medical terminology. As a historically established and internationally recognized linguistic foundation, Latin continues to serve as a universal medium for naming anatomical structures, clinical conditions, diagnostic procedures, and pharmaceutical substances. The study analyzes the structural, semantic, and functional features of Latin-based medical terms and highlights their stability, precision, and cross-cultural applicability. Furthermore, the paper examines the pedagogical importance of Latin in medical education, emphasizing its contribution to the development of terminological competence, analytical thinking, and professional communication skills among medical students.
