Annotatsiya
The article examines the life path and creative heritage of Zh.Bekturov and analyzes the artistic representation of the idea of freedom in the poet’s works. The study focuses on poems dedicated to Khan Kene, exploring their thematic and semantic features, the depiction of historical reality, and their poetic function in expressing the national spirit. The poet’s works artistically interpret the people’s struggle against colonial oppression, the aspiration for national independence, and the historical role of Kenesary Kasymuly. The image of Kenesary is characterized as a symbol of the national liberation movement, and his emergence on the historical stage is interpreted as a demand of the era and a historical necessity. The research also highlights the literary and spiritual heritage created in Central Kazakhstan, particularly in the territory of the present-day Karaganda region. It emphasizes the importance of reassessing the works of poets whose names were marginalized during the totalitarian period and whose contributions did not receive proper evaluation. The historical continuity of the idea of freedom in poetry created under the colonial policy of Tsarist Russia and the ideological pressure of the Soviet regime is demonstrated. The article evaluates Zh.Bekturov’s творчество — as a poet who opposed the colonial policy of the Tsarist government and, at a certain stage, associated hopes with Soviet power — from the perspective of the spiritual values of independent Kazakhstan. The artistic system of the poet’s works, reflecting love for the homeland, national dignity, historical memory, and ideals of freedom, is analyzed, and his place in the history of Kazakh literature is defined. Zh.Bekturov’s heritage is considered an important part of national spiritual culture, and its consonance with universal human values is substantiated in scholarly terms.
