Annotatsiya

This study evaluated the relationship between coronary artery calcium (CAC) score and the severity of coronary artery disease in 105 patients with obesity using multislice CT angiography. Calcification was detected in 92.4% of cases and was more frequent in men. Higher CAC scores were strongly associated with multiple and severe coronary stenoses. Despite limited sex and age differences, CAC scoring proved valuable for cardiovascular risk stratification and guiding further diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
