Annotatsiya
Menstrual cycle irregularities are quite common in adolescence. According to various studies, up to 30–60% of girls experience irregular menstrual cycles in the first years after menarche. The most common forms of irregularities include oligomenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, anovulatory cycles, and juvenile uterine bleeding. Prolonged or heavy menstrual blood loss can contribute to the development of anemia, and anemia, in turn, can negatively impact the hormonal regulation of the menstrual cycle.
