Drawing on international and national studies conducted between 2020 and 2026, this article provides a detailed scientific analysis of the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia and its distribution across New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional classes among patients with chronic heart failure. The aggregated data indicate that anemia is present in roughly 30–50% of such patients, while iron deficiency affects 40–55%; in NYHA class III–IV patients these figures rise to 70–80%. The article also discusses the findings of major clinical trials, updated guidelines and modern treatment approaches.
