The Economic Value of DOI: Quantifying the Return on Personal Wealth Transferred into Open Knowledge
Annotatsiya
This paper calculates the economic value generated by the author's 565 DOI-registered papers using peer-reviewed academic valuation frameworks. A single scientific publication generates an average economic value of approximately USD $6,870 (Moon et al., 2021). Applied to 565 papers, this yields USD $3,881,550 (conservative) to USD $5,822,325 (optimistic, with CC BY 4.0 open access multiplier). The author's total AI subscription investment is estimated at ¥60,000–¥300,000 JPY, yielding an ROI of 1,940× to 14,550×. The paper contextualizes this within V=N/D ethics: personal finite wealth converted through AI into non-depletable public knowledge, released at zero access barrier, generates maximum social value. The numbers are not the point. The structure is: D(access)=0, V→maximum, virtue accumulates.
