PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS CONTAINING THE WORD "HEART" IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE: STRUCTURAL AND SEMANTIC ANALYSIS

The article examines phraseological units of the Russian language containing the component “heart” from the standpoint of structural-semantic and functional analysis. The aim of the study is to identify the main semantic groups and determine their role in the formation of the linguistic picture of the world. The material was set expressions selected from phraseological dictionaries. As a result of the study, the main types of meanings associated with emotions, moral evaluation, intuition and physiological reactions were identified. A conclusion is made about the high cultural significance of these units and their active functioning in modern speech.
