Annotatsiya
This study investigates the development of students’ communicative competence through a sociocultural approach in foreign language education. In the context of increasing globalization and the growing demand for effective intercultural communication, the ability to use language appropriately in diverse social situations has become a key educational objective. The research is grounded in the theoretical framework of communicative competence and sociocultural theory, which emphasizes the role of interaction, collaboration, and cultural mediation in the learning process. The main focus of the study is to design a systematic set of communicative exercises integrated with innovative technologies, including digital platforms, multimedia resources, and mobile learning applications. These tools create interactive and learner-centered environments that facilitate authentic communication and active participation. The proposed system of exercises includes role-play activities, collaborative tasks, problem-solving exercises, and intercultural communication practices aimed at developing linguistic, pragmatic, and sociocultural competencies. The findings of the study demonstrate that the integration of sociocultural principles with modern technological tools significantly enhances students’ communicative performance, motivation, and intercultural awareness. Furthermore, the approach fosters critical thinking, autonomy, and meaningful engagement in the learning process. The study concludes that the effective combination of sociocultural pedagogy and innovative technologies provides a comprehensive framework for improving foreign language teaching and learning outcomes in contemporary educational settings.
