This article examines the psycholinguistic aspects of speech perlocution, focusing on how speakers influence listeners’ cognitive and emotional responses. It explores the mechanisms of attention, working memory, inferential reasoning, and schema activation that underlie perlocutionary effects. The study highlights the interaction between language, cognition, and social context, demonstrating how psycholinguistic principles shape meaning construction and listener interpretation in communication. Practical examples from diplomatic and everyday discourse illustrate the application of these mechanisms in real-life interactions.
