This study examined the effectiveness of a chitosan-based local hemostatic agent in modeling blood loss in laboratory animals. Four groups were compared: intact, control (no treatment), comparison group (standard treatment), and chitosan-treated group. A statistical analysis of blood loss volume, bleeding time, and blood loss index (ml/kg) was performed. The results showed a significant reduction in these parameters in the correction groups, particularly with chitosan.
