This chapter considers the actualization of affordances in metaverse games (MG) as compared to the internalized and embodied experiences of users' security using the notion of affordance as a theoretical approach. Investigating the realization and performance of the affordances in a wider context, the emphasis is put on the affordances of the MG players and the analysis of their effects on the user experience. The affordance duality of the metaverse (MV) is defined, actualization of affordances is theorized, and suitable affordances are accomplished through the synthesis of applicable analytic methods. The actualization processes of sensory representations of affective affordances in a player are given through a heuristic process of immersion and selection of an affordance, which is guided by underlying cues. The chapter provides prescriptive information by supporting the theoretical implications and practical implications to scholars and practitioners who work in extended environments by explaining the security role of extended reality in mediating the user interaction.
