Opportunities and Challenges for Leadership AI in Strategic Decision-Making

Artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping strategic decision-making in higher education, compelling institutional leaders to cultivate new governance capacities and adaptive leadership frameworks suited to an era of algorithmic influence. As universities face mounting pressures — from demographic shifts and funding volatility to intensifying competition and demands for equity — AI-augmented analytics and predictive modelling offer powerful tools for navigating institutional complexity with greater precision and foresight.
