Annotatsiya

Making even tiny diamonds valuable: Nanodiamonds (NDs) were covalently functionalized with hyperbranched polyglycerol (PG) by ring-opening polymerization to improve their suitability for biomedical applications (see scheme). The PG-grafted NDs were highly soluble not only in pure water (>20 mg mL−1), but also in a buffer (>16 mg mL−1), and were separated according to size by size-exclusion chromatography.
