Annotatsiya
The purpose of this chapter is to review the bibliographic statistics essential to position the framework of our chapter. We begin by defining the phenomenon of corrosion, including its economic importance, its causes, and its mechanisms in industrial applications. We also examine the corrosion inhibitors used for industrial application, as well as their inhibition and adsorption mechanisms. The global market size of corrosion inhibitors in 2013 was $6 billion (USD), in 2020 it grew to $7.7 billion (USD), and it is expected to reach $10 billion (USD) by 2027. Additionally, this chapter discusses the future outlook of the use of different corrosion inhibitors for refineries.
