In the article, the normative and non-normative cases of taboos and euphemisms found in the language of Uzbek films of the period of independence are studied from an orthologous aspect. The concepts of taboo and euphemism are explained and researches related to these concepts are listed. Euphemisms found in the language of movies are selected and divided into spiritual groups, and the role and importance of taboos and euphemisms in the language of movies is revealed.
