In recent years, attention to the power quality (PQ) of electricity has grown significantly. The deterioration of PQ in power system leads to a number of negative consequences of electromagnetic and technological nature. In this regard, with the support of the research laboratory of Moscow Power Engineering Institute, various voltage classes and instrumental work have been implemented on the electrical networks of the Republic of Tajikistan to analyze and identify the causes of PQ deterioration. This article provides brief information on the energy system at high and low voltages of the Republic of Tajikistan networks to assess the effect of powerful distorting loads on the elements of the power system and the spreading of conductive interference. Moreover, the article presents obtained results of the instrumental assessment of the electric PQ and explains the possible causes and consequences of the registered violations to define and mitigate PQ disturbances.
