ANALYSIS OF TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS FOR REDUCING THE COPPER CONCENTRATION IN SLAGS FROM OXYGEN-FLARE SMELTING OF COPPER SULFIDE CONCENTRATES
Annotatsiya
This article introduces and reviews technological solutions for reducing the copper content in slags from the oxygen-flare smelting of copper sulfide concentrates. In Uzbekistan at the Almalyk factory, a copper smelter was constructed and successfully operates a complex for oxygen-torch melting of copper sulfide concentrates. The creation of the oxygen-torch melting industrial complex was preceded by a large amount of research work, which is continuing to improve the equipment and technology. When a blast is enriched with oxygen, the process temperature usually increases. In this case, the oxidation process is very intense. For many sulfide oxidation reactions, the activation energy is 83.6-167.6 Mj/mol. [1] The oxidation of sulfides can be expressed by a total reaction: When the temperature increases from 500 to 1000 K, the reaction rate increases by 20,000 times.
