Using real records of seismic actions with maximum acceleration amplitudes of 120, 215, 240 and 300 cm/ and the spectra of these actions, they calculated the reactions of a steel frame idealized as a system with one degree of freedom on a similar machine. In this case, the reactions were determined in the elastic and elastoplastic stages. Reinforcements corresponding to the calculated values of deformations of the extreme fibers of the frame columns were applied to the prototype. The program included testing at a constant amplitude (1 series), at various random levels of deformations corresponding to the reaction of frames in elastic (II series) and in the elastoplastic (III series) stages. The order of loading the samples at random variable strains corresponded to the nature of the force spectrum determined from real accelerograms.
