Annotatsiya
The results of investigation of hypersound damping in critical solutions with a closed phase-separation region at temperatures below the lower and above the upper critical points are presented. Available theories of sound propagation during phase transitions fail to provide a description of experimental results in the hypersound frequency range, in which the acoustic wavelength is comparable to fluctuations of the concentration. A new theoretical description (stemming from experimental data) proposed for hypersound damping in the vicinity of the critical points is based on the scattering of a sound wave from developed fluctuations of the concentration.
