Annotatsiya

By analyzing yarn motion and yam dynamics in rotor spinning, this paper provides an analytical model to determine the twist level at the peeling point in rotor spinning. The model shows that the twist level of the yam arm near the peeling point obviously declines, mainly because its bent shape acts like a "virtual twist blockage device," to such an extent that the twist level at this point is even lower than that of machine twist. The twist level at the peeling point for finer yams can be higher than that for coarser ones, because of the multiple effect of yarn linear density, rotor speed, and rotor diameter, etc. This finding infers that the spinning stability of finer yams may improve if the spinning and machine parameters mentioned above are properly matched.
