Irrational use of water resources is one of the main obstacles to the sustainable development of irrigated agriculture in Uzbekistan. Experts point out that the decline in crop yields and, in some cases, losses are related to the problem of water scarcity. To alleviate this situation, it is necessary to introduce cost-effective technologies in the irrigation system to prevent wastage of water, which is equal to a drop of gold.Therefore, this article discusses the application of drip irrigation in the irrigation of agricultural crops and the improvement of its automated system. One of the most important aspects of this process is the control of soil moisture. The improved drip irrigation system includes a moisture control sensor, which, along with soil moisture control, performs one of the important functions in saving water and energy resources. Water and energy consumption for irrigating 1 hectare of land was calculated using the improved option of drip irrigation.
