Since the object tracking system for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and evaluating its effectiveness are a demanding task, we have focused our work on this topic. In this paper, we presented a method for tracking an object in image sequences. Our proposed method is based on the Kalman filter and Camshift algorithm. The Kalman filter is used to predict the location of an object, while the selected target is tracked by the Camshift algorithm. The results of our experiments demonstrated that the proposed method can effectively track an object in various videos.
