Annotatsiya

It has been indicated that the accuracy in the calculation of the solar UV index can be increased by the organization of more reliable measurements of the total ozone in the Chappuis band. The mathematical condition under which ozone measurements become advisable in the visible part of the spectrum (Chappuis band) is determined. A technique for calculating the UV index of the Sun has been proposed.
