Annotatsiya

Non-linear optical properties of molecules with double-conjugated bonds are under consideration, UV and VUV generation by third-order processes in four specific media (naphthalene, anthracene, paraterphenyl and benzene) belonging to the beginning of the linear series of polyacenes and polyphenyls are studied. Optimal conversion conditions have been established for various frequency-mixing schemes of a neodymium laser and the efficiency of generation has been estimated. Also studied are the accompanying processes and the limiting factors.
