DISTRIBUTION OF THE SUNN PESTS FROM THE GENUS EURYGASTER (HETEROPTERA: SCUTELLERIDAE) IN RUSSIA

This article contains distribution maps for six species of the genus Eurygaster in the Russian Federation, without highlighting their harmfulness zones. The maps are compiled using material from the collections of the Zoological Institute, RAS (St-Petersburg) and All-Russian Institute of Plant Protection (St-Petersburg), material provided by the Russian Agricultural Center (Moscow), author’s collections, and literature data. The differences between these distribution maps of Eurygaster species and maps published earlier in different sources are discussed. Some of the previously published maps contain obvious mistakes since the areas of distribution indicated on them are not completely confirmed by the collection material or reliable records in the literature. These mistakes have been mainly resulted from misidentifications. The article is of practical interest for the plant protection specialists.
