A new sesquiterpene (9- O -acetyl-8- O -tigloyltovarol, 1) was isolated from aerial parts of Ferula persica. Also, umbelliprenin (2) as a sesquiterpene coumarin was isolated from roots of this plant. Their structures were determined by UV, IR, 1 H-NMR, 13 C -NMR, and mass spectra.
