Pedagogical criteria used in the process of forming performing skills of students in the field of music education are analyzed from a scientific-theoretical and practical point of view, in which the content of education, pedagogical approaches, the role of methods and technologies in the development of performing skills, as well as issues of taking into account the individual abilities and creative activity of students are highlighted. Also, the evaluation criteria that serve the formation of performance competencies in the process of music education, the organization of independent classes, and the effective aspects of combining theoretical knowledge with practical performance are revealed.
