Annotatsiya

This article examines the role of national urban planning terminology in the process of conceptualizing urban space and the ethno-cultural codes embedded within it. The author analyzes the discourse of urban construction not merely as an architectural process but as a linguo-cultural phenomenon reflecting the nation's mentality, moral values, and worldview. The study reveals the symbolic significance of traditional concepts such as "mahalla," "hovli," and "guzar" within urban planning terms, as well as their pivotal role in shaping national identity. Utilizing corpus linguistics methods, the research investigates metaphors, stereotypes, and the historical-cultural context of toponymic units in texts related to urban development. The analysis demonstrates that even under the conditions of modern urbanization, national urban planning terminology serves to preserve the ethno-ethical perspectives of the people, including hospitality, collectivism, and a sense of belonging. The article is intended for specialists in the fields of linguo-culturology, cognitive linguistics, and urban sociology.
