Inthecontextofglobaldigitaltransformation,thepreservationanddisseminationofculturalheritagethroughdigitizationhavebecomeapriorityformuseumsworldwide.Museumcollections,whichincludemanuscripts,photographs,archivaldocuments,andmaterialartifacts,areincreasinglyvulnerabletophysicaldeteriorationandlimitedaccessibility.Digitizationoffersaneffectivesolutionbyensuringlong-termpreservation,systematicorganization,andbroaderscientificandeducationaluseofculturalassets.ThisarticleexaminesthescientificandmethodologicalfoundationsfordigitizingthecollectionmaterialsoftheSharofRashidovMuseum.Thestudyanalyzestheoreticalapproachestomuseumdigitization,identifieskeymethodologicalstages,andevaluatestheroleofdigitaltechnologiesinpreservingculturalheritage.Specialattentionisgiventoissuesofmetadatacreation,informationsecurity,andintellectualpropertyprotection.Thefindingsdemonstratethatasystematicandmethodologicallygroundeddigitizationprocesssignificantlyenhancestheresearch,educational,andculturalvalueofmuseumcollections.
