Annotatsiya

The study of medicinal plants rich in antioxidants has become increasingly important due to their significant role in preventing oxidative stress–related diseases. Modern methods for qualitative and quantitative evaluation of antioxidant-containing medicinal plants focus on identifying bioactive compounds and accurately measuring their activity. This topic examines advanced analytical techniques such as spectrophotometric assays, chromatographic methods, and electrochemical analysis used to determine antioxidant capacity and phytochemical composition. Special attention is given to methods including DPPH, ABTS, FRAP assays, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS), which ensure precise detection and standardization of plant-derived antioxidants. The application of these modern techniques enhances quality control, supports pharmaceutical standardization, and promotes the safe use of plant-based medicines in healthcare.
