This article examines how linguistic knowledge significantly enhances classroom communication and overall teaching effectiveness. It discusses the contribution of major branches of linguistics such as phonetics, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and discourse analysis to educational practice.
