THE AESTHETIC LANDSCAPE OF THE VIRTUAL WORLD

The widespread dissemination of the Internet and information and communication technologies (ICTs) across the world has become one of the most important prerequisites for the socio-economic and cultural development of society. This process finds its expression in the formation of new directions within socio-cultural dynamics. The rapid development of ICTs has led to a further expansion of various forms of aesthetic activity. With the emergence of cyberspace, aesthetic relations within it have developed intensively. In particular, transformational processes have begun in such areas as aesthetic worldview, representation, and self-identification, as well as in the individual’s aesthetic perception of philosophical and aesthetic reality. In the present period, the need to study phenomena such as the rapid and sharp changes in axiological paradigms, aesthetic criteria and norms, modes of communication, and systems of views in cyberspace is becoming increasingly urgent.
