TECHNOLOGY OF DEVELOPING LOGICAL THINKING THROUGH CREATING PROBLEM SITUATIONS IN PRIMARY GRADE MATHEMATICS LESSONS
Annotatsiya
This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of developing logical thinking in primary school students through the creation of problem-based situations in mathematics lessons. The study highlights the didactic potential of problem-based learning, its role in enhancing cognitive engagement, and its effectiveness in fostering independent reasoning, analytical skills, and logical inference. Particular attention is given to the design of problem situations, the organization of inquiry-based learning activities, and the implementation of reflective practices within the classroom. The paper systematizes instructional methods and tools aimed at developing fundamental logical operations such as comparison, analysis, synthesis, and generalization in the context of primary education. The findings indicate that the integration of problem-oriented teaching technologies significantly improves mathematical literacy, stimulates critical and creative thinking, and strengthens students’ intrinsic learning motivation. The research concludes with practical methodological recommendations for primary school teachers.
