Opportunities for Remedial Iron Deficiency in Patients with Preserved Ejection Fraction AND Chronic Heart Failure
Annotatsiya
Iron deficiency (ID) is a common comorbid condition in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) and occurs in 5-60% of those examined. ID worsens physical activity and quality of life of CHF patients, increases the number of hospitalizations, and negatively affects the prognosis. The need for timely diagnosis and correction of various comorbid conditions, including ID, in patients with CHF with a low ejection fraction is reflected in European and Russian recommendations for the treatment of CHF. Works devoted to studies of the prevalence of ID, as well as methods of its correction, in patients with CHF with preserved ejection fraction (CHF-pEF), are few. The aim of the work: against the background of correction of iron deficiency, to assess the dynamics of clinical manifestations and laboratory parameters in patients with CHF-pEF 2-3 functional class (FC).
