The Role OF Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Developing Listening Comprehension Skills in Primary Education: Analytical Report AND Practical Recommendations for the Uzbekistan Education System

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has created new opportunities for enhancing language learning, particularly in developing listening comprehension skills among young learners. This study analyzes the pedagogical potential of AI-based tools in primary education and examines their applicability within the context of the Uzbekistan education system. Through a review of contemporary literature, comparative analysis of AI-supported listening tools, and evaluation of Uzbekistan's current digital-education landscape, the study identifies key opportunities, challenges, and practical steps for effective integration. Findings suggest that AI technologies—such as adaptive learning platforms, speech-recognition tools, multimodal listening systems, and intelligent tutoring applications—can significantly improve listening comprehension, learner motivation, and personalized learning. However, their effective adoption requires investments in teacher training, infrastructure, culturally relevant content, and data-privacy regulations. The paper concludes with strategic recommendations for policymakers and educators to implement AI-enhanced listening instruction in Uzbek primary schools.
