THE IMPORTANCE OF STUDENT MOTIVATION IN THE LEARNING PROCESS

Student motivation plays a crucial role in the learning process andgreatly influences academic success. Motivated students are more active, engaged, andwilling to participate in classroom activities. The purpose of this article is to examinethe importance of student motivation in education and its impact on learning outcomes.The study discusses different types of motivation, including intrinsic and extrinsicmotivation, and analyzes how they affect students’ interest in learning. In addition, thearticle highlights several factors that influence motivation, such as the classroomenvironment, teaching methods, and teacher–student relationships. Effective teachingstrategies and supportive learning environments can help increase students’ motivationand improve their academic performance. The findings suggest that motivation is a keyelement in the educational process, and teachers should apply interactive and studentcentered methods to encourage learners. Increasing motivation not only enhanceslearning outcomes but also helps students develop positive attitudes toward education.
