Study of the composition of roller-compacted concrete

This article discusses the use of coatings made from roller- compacted concrete (RCC) on the roads of different countries, its advantages and disadvantages compared to compacted concrete and conventional concrete, the influence of various wastes used in compacted concrete on the physical and mechanical properties, and the technology of compacted concrete used in the construction of road surfaces. Scientific papers from other sources are also analysed. The compressive and flexural strength of RCC containing fly ash, ground slag, ground rubber and polyethylene fibres is compared, and the effect of the rubber content on the density and strength of the mixture is examined. On the basis of the analysis, conclusions are drawn on the rational reuse of industrial and road waste in compacted concrete road pavements.
