LINEAR ACCELERATOR OF 15 Mev

Abstract

Descriptions are given of a 15-Mev linear electron accelerator with a 50 ma current. The electron pulse of 0.7 sec can be reduced to 0.5 sec. The pulse frequency is 1000 sec, the energy spread is 10%, the total highfrequency energy is 3.5 Mv, and the efficiency is 25%. Two synchronized magnetron generators are used as the high-frequency source. (tr-auth)
