Abstract

Experimental investigations of the heat conductivity of layered Pbl2 single crystals are conducted under conditions of uniaxial compression perpendicular to the plane of the layers in the 2−30°K temperature interval. A significant reduction in the heat conductivity of crystals subjected to loading is detected. Possible factors which result in a change in the heat conduction are examined.
