Abstract

An essential difference between spin reorientation in ferromagnetic metals and insulators is demonstrated. At low frequencies the spectrum and wave transformations are affected mainly by the interaction of magnetic oscillations with the slow wave of minimum phase velocity. In insulators this is the magnetoacoustic interaction, in metals it is the coupling of magnons to damped electromagnetic oscillations.
