Abstract
The effect of fixed substitutional impurities on the magnetic field driven phase transition is considered in the one-dimensional X-Y model. It is shown that in the low-concentration region smearing of the singularity in the magnetic susceptibility is significantly attenuated when the relation (I′/I)2=/ μ′/μ is satisfied for the exchange constants and magnetons of the impurities and of the matrix.
