Features in the spectra of electromagnetic oscillations generated in superconducting channels

Abstract

Spectra of high-frequency oscillations generated in superconducting channels located in the resistive current state are investigated. It is found that three types of spectra exist depending on the thickness of the specimens. The features observed in the spectra are explained by the motion of the phase slip centers of the order parameter along the specimen with a velocity 104–105 cm/sec. The duration of the voltage pulses arising in the specimen in this case is ∼ 5⋅10−8 sec.
