Abstract

The energy spectrum of single-center Rydberg excitations of O, N, C, and H and characteristic autolocalized states in a neon matrix was investigated. The general structural regularities of single-center states, which characterize the interaction of the states with the lattice, were determined. The effect of the lifetime and radius of an excited atom on the structure of the emitting centers was examined. The development of the inelastic restructuring of the lattice in the nearest-neighbor environment of the excitation is analyzed on the basis of the deformation-interaction model.
