Abstract
Formulas connecting the magnetoconductivity tensor with the dynamic structural factor of a two-dimensional electron liquid have been obtained for an arbitrary relation between the cyclotron frequency ωc and the magnetic field-dependent collision frequency ν. It is shown that in many cases, e.g., in the case of electrons at the free surface of liquid helium, the collision frequency ν increases with magnetic field in a wide range of values of the external parameters more rapidly than the cyclotron frequency. This makes it impossible to use the results of theories based on the approximation ωc ≫ ν in the ultraquantum region.
