Abstract
An investigation was made of frequency conversion, in xenon, of continuously tunable picosecond UV radiation to the third harmonic. The conditions for optimal tuning in the range 113.5–117.0 nm were determined. The maximum conversion efficiency in an Xe—Ar mixture was 8×10-4.
