Abstract
Deformations of fission fragments at fixed kinetic energies of a light fragment have been calculated within the droplet model. The calculations performed demonstrate the existence of a spherical shape with A 1 = 76 and A h = 134 (β1, βh ≈ 0). Fragments with A 1 < 76 and A h < 130 pass from the spherical to flattened shape. Fragments with A h < 126 again acquire an elongated shape.
