Study on pharmacokinetic of carvedilol

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To study the pharmacokinetic properties of Carvedilol Tablet in 20 healthy male subjects.METHODS Plasma concentrations of carvedilol after a single dose of 20mg were determined by reversed-phase HPLC method with fluorescence detection,and the pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by DAS2.0.RESULTS The main pharmacokinetic parameters of carvedilol,as t12,Tmax,Cmax,AUC0~24and AUC0~∞were 3.417±1.739h,1.188±0.343h,44.645±17.446ng·mL-1,156.113 ±69.710ng·mL-1·h and 160.980±69.730ng·mL-1·h respectively.CONCLUSION The method was sensitive and accurate,and was successfully applied to the pharmacokinetic study of carvedilol in human.
