Research and Prospect of Eucalypt Tannin Extract

Abstract

As development of leather industry,the demand of Tannin extract increased greatly. However,the shortage of tannin extract raw materials made it urgent to explore for new materials. For further research on the tannin extract raw materials,development and current situation of the tannin extract raw materials were summarized. The current situation and comprehensive utilization of Eucalypt bark resources were analyzed. Influence of Eucalypt species,freshness of Eucalypt bark and extraction process on the Eucalypt tannin extract was also discussed.
