Abstract

Somatic embryogenesis of Picea asperata decreased significantly(P0.01) as the time extension. At the late proliferation stage, changing the ways of proliferation and maturation could significantly increase the capacity for somatic embryogenesis. Compared with semi-solid culture, suspension culture was more conducive to retention of embryogenesis. At the late stage of proliferation, the optimal maturation approach was suspension culture-paper differentiation, chunk culture-chunk differentiation came in second, followed by chunk culture-paper differentiation.
