Experimental study on matrix formula of container nursery of “Ganzhou oil” series Camellia oleifera seedlings

Abstract

By using the matrices of six different recipes, the container nursery experiments on Ganzhou oil series of camellia shoots and grafted seedlings were conducted and the pH and nutrient contents of matrices with different recipes were measured. By using variance analysis and multiple comparisons, the effects of different matrices on camellia shoots' and grafted seedlings' preservation rate, height, diameter, root length were investigated, it was concluded that the matrix formula of 50% peat + 30% sawdust + 5% rice husk + 5% pine bark + 4% perlite + 5% loess + 1% superphosphate was the most suitable recipe for Ganzhou oil series camellia to grow. The findings provide a theoretical basis for Ganzhou oil series Camellia's container nursery and technical support for rapid and healthy development of camellia industry.
